After locking the shop up for the night the manager settles down to do the books, unseen the premises are entered by a thief. A crash from the cellar store room brings the manager, armed with handcuffs, to the scene only to find himself face to face with the intruder. A scuffle follows and stock is flying and smashing everywhere. Once restrained the thief is confronted by an angry man. His arrogance is tested with a slap across the face and the possibility of the police coming.
